Investing in the 250 W 57th Street's repositioning was instrumental in allowing ESRT to attract higher-paying tenants to their real estate asset located within the center of the fast-changing “billionaire’s row.” Completed in November of 2017, the new lobby features an unprecedented 76’ long digital ceiling display, which imbues the space with a shifting array of color. In addition to the lobby renovation, we sought to honor the building’s historic integrity by finding design inspiration in its original façade for the modernization of the building's storefront. Utilizing historic photographs that were uncovered while conducting pre-design research, the new façade references the historic design in its rhythm, proportions, and color palate making for a consistent and polished storefront experience for visitors and passersby.
